LSU Alex Box Stadium

Project Size: 9,000 Seat Baseball Stadium
Completed: December 2008

With the existing structure being out-dated and scheduled for demolition, GHA designed a new baseball stadium for Louisiana State University’s main campus in Baton Rouge. The new Alex Box is located across from the LSU Golf Course at the intersection of Nicholson Drive and Gourrier Lane.

The site was identified as part of the designated campus Athletic District in the 2003 Campus Master Plan. This project initiates the long-term development of LSU’s Athletic District and will be followed in future years with the relocation and renovation of other athletic facilities. The new Alex Box Stadium seats 9,000 fans and was completed in time to see the opening pitch of the 2009 season.
