Commercial

One Hancock Plaza

Project Size: 250,000 sq. ft.
Completed: January 2007

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the immediate mobilization to restore the Bank Tower initiated the rebuilding of the city. Two days after the storm the design team was on-site to begin the exterior and interior restoration and renovation of the 16 -story commercial tower.

The uppermost portion of the tower is illuminated by a series of exterior light fixtures creating a glow visible from miles around which architecturally exhibits the company’s "Lighthouse Logo."

The water feature was designed to embody the surge of the storm while the black pavers represent and commemorate the lives lost in the state of Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina.
