Amedisys Home Health Care

Project Size: 108,000 sq. ft.
Completed: December 2008

GHA designed the new corporate headquarters for the Baton Rouge based Amedisys Home Health Care in an abandoned grocery store to provide the fastest growing home health service provider in the country an expanded space to allow for 500+ employees.

Natural light is filtered into the building via a new façade with a rhythm of alternating glass and precast panels. The roof is penetrated with skylights to enhance the interior environment further back into the building. The open office planning accommodates all departments in separate groupings, while enclosed spaces provide locations to support daily business functions.

The training facility includes a 350-seat auditorium that allows Amedisys to implement system upgrades.

LEED Accredited

GHA has made a commitment to the promotion and practice of sustainable design. We encourage all of our clients, regardless of their interest in seeking LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification, to incorporate sustainable materials into their design. This commitment is underscored by the design of our corporate office located on Government Street in Baton Rouge.

Currently GHA's company roster includes three LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP): architect Jerry Hebert, intern architect David Hebert and interior designer Ashley Ferrand. Read more >
